The body tube of a compound optical microscope contains two lens systems, the objective lens composed of one or several lenses that magnify the image of the object being examined, and the ocular lens at the eyepiece end. The magnification of the microscope depends on the focal lengths of the two lens systems.
The nosepiece holds all three of the objective lenses.
The nose-piece holds the objective lenses in a microscope.
The ocular lens, also called the eyepiece lens, is at the end of the compound optical microscope body opposite the objective lens.

The body tube of a compound optical microscope contains the ocular lens which focuses the image from the objective lens and allows you to view the image on the stage.
1. Mechanical Parts- refer to the parts that serve as the framework of the apparatus.2.Illuminating or optical parts- produce light entering he microscope3.Magnifyig Parts- enlarge or magnify the object

Eyepiece is the lens through which we observe the specimen in a microscope. It multiplies and adjusts the magnification of the objective lenses. Sometimes, it even corrects aberrations of the objective lens.
A magnifying lens
A simple microscope similar to a magnifying lens.
optical microscope
A light microscope is an optical microscope. That differentiates it from an electron microscope, a quantum mechanical tunneling microscope and others.
On each lens of a Microscope there is a marking that states the magnification power.
the light microscope
No. If it only has one lens, then it's just a magnifying glass, not a microscope.
The simplest optical microscope is the magnifying glass and is good to about ten times (10X) magnification. The compound microscope has two systems of lenses for greater magnification, 1) the ocular, or eyepiece lens that one looks into and 2) the objective lens, or the lens closest to the object.

Because you use one or more magnifying lenses to make the actual microscope.
