Metallic crystals are flexible because of a property of their electrons called delocalization. The electrons are free to move about the crystal, instead of "belonging" to one specific atom. This allows the metal to bend, flex, stretch and conduct electricity. These properties are called malleability, ductility and conductivity.

What is a sulfide mineral with long metallic slender bladed crystals?

Stibnite is a sulfide mineral that has long metallic slender bladed crystals. It often has a shiny, silvery-gray color and is commonly found in hydrothermal veins. Stibnite is composed of antimony sulfide and is used in the production of antimony metal.

What is the difference between armored cable and flexible metallic conduit?

Armored electrical cable contains insulated electrical service wires protected by a flexible steel covering. Metallic Conduit is a tube or pipe though which we lay electrical cable.(Most commonly lighting cables).

Can you compare and contrast the 4 types of crystals?

Covalent, Metallic, and Ionic crystals have high melting points and densities, but molecular crystals tend to be soft and has a lower melting point. Covalent crystal=covalent bond and Ionic crystal=ionic bond.
