Bleach un-mixed with water in a spray bottle will turn black as it corrodes the spring mechanism of the sprayer. It oxidizes the metal. Mixed with water, the bleach should not do this.

Mix some (OXY ® ACNE MEDICATION WIPES) WITH CLOROX.  I did it by accident and it turn black immediately.

I had this happen with a new spray container. Asked the question to Clorox and they replied that it shouldn't happen, was unusual. They are sending a coupon for reimbursement.

i have used all different kinds of spary bottles and every time the bleach turns black. I have used it straight and diluted but still turns black.  I would like to know why this is?
