Commonly caused by an abnormally high increase in fluids, particuarly water, H20. If you drank ALOT of water before your urine test it can very easily pass through your body without much absorption. In this case the urine is comprised largely of H20. Not completely of course, but there is a specific gravity range that indulged the lab technicians to deem a urine sample in 'normal' range. If the specific gravity is out of this range,.. possibly due to some variation of the aforementioned; Then the results will come back as 'diluted',.. or more commonly 'inconclusive'.

It is very healthy to drink alot of water throughout the day.. but not by 'chugging' it down to produce a urinary movement, or other such reasons. It is much better absorbed and beneficial to take smaller sips/gulps over a 10-15minute period of time.

Hope that helps,.. and I apologize if I misinterpreted the nature of your question.

Why does urine have to be diluted so heavily for a Jaffe's reaction test?

Diluting urine for a Jaffe's reaction test helps to minimize interference from other substances in urine that may give false-positive or false-negative results. can they detect from a urine sample if you are taking roxicodone and can anti depressent make the roxicodone undetectable in your urine also what other reasons can there be for not having roxicodone appear in a urine test. Mine did not show any roxicodon?

It is excreted through urine and can be can be detected in urine. Use of antidepressant will not mask presence of Roxicodone in urine. The drug might not get deducted in urine because of lower concentration or time lapse between consumption and detection. or due to diluted urine due to excessive consumption of water and use of diuretics

What is a negative diluted urine sample?

A diluted urine drug test is one where the sample was diluted. It happens in two ways--you drank too much water to make yourself pee (DOT's standard says drink no more than 40 ounces of water), or you put water in your sample after you peed it out.A negative diluted test says "no drugs in this sample passed the test thresholds, but it was diluted so there MIGHT be drugs in here." Basically, a diluted negative is a test failure.

Can you fail a tasc drug test from diluted urine?

If sent to a lab, they will KNOW it's been diluted. You will automatically be considered guilty of being dirty....If it is not sent to a lab and you get your results right then (ex: a drug test at an employment agency...), you can pass easily -
