I think cause you know how the magnesium reacts in salt causing it to rust
Salty water will rust metal the fastest because the presence of salt increases the rate of oxidation, which leads to rust formation. Cold water alone does not promote rusting, but when combined with salt, the process is accelerated.
Magnesium nitrate (salt) and water are produced.
When magnesium oxide is added to water, it will react to form magnesium hydroxide, a salt solution, and release heat. This reaction is exothermic and the magnesium hydroxide formed will be a white solid that will dissolve in water to form the salt solution.
Magnesium bromide is a salt, not a base. It is formed by the reaction between magnesium oxide (a base) and hydrobromic acid to produce magnesium bromide and water.
When magnesium and iron come into contact with salt water, a chemical reaction can occur, leading to the corrosion of the metals. The salt in the water acts as an electrolyte, aiding in the transfer of electrons between the metal and the surrounding environment, accelerating the corrosion process. Over time, the metals can rust and deteriorate when exposed to salt water.
Because salt water has codium to make rust.

If you mean for an experiment, try iron or magnesium. Iron will rust, magnesium will do something, I forgot what it was though. :)
Distilled water will rust a nail faster as distilled water contains higher levels of OXYGEN which is what causes OXIDATION or commonly referred to as rust...
The salt in the water will speed up the iron nail because the chemicals in the salt water on the nail creates faded substances
It could be tomato paste, salt water, or nail polish because of the acids
Salt water will rust steel faster than fresh water or refrigerated water. This is due to the corrosive properties of salt, which accelerates the oxidation process that leads to rust formation on steel surfaces.
Salt Water Because They Rust In Normal Water Too!
salt will rust the coin faster thanfresh water
