Why ethyne is acidic in nature?

alkynes are sp hybridized.Due to greater s character carbon becomes partially negative and it attracts electron of hydrogen.As a result hydrogen becomes partially postive.To acquire electrons hydrogen leaves carbon and attaches with other molecules.such as

the main reason is that in ethyne the carbon is sp hybridize and corbon make sp s bond with hydrogen.the sp orbital of carbon contains 50 % s and 50%p.s orbital makes Head to head approach therefor it is stronger then p orbital so sp of carbon make sp s bond with s of hydrongen stronger then sp2 s and sp3 s bonds .the sp of arbon due to strong bonding attrects the electron of hydrogen towards itself which makes hydrogen weak h+.weak H+ is due to 50%p part in sp orbital of cabon .

Alkynes are sp hybridized, meaning they are 50% s character

The more s character the more acidic the molecule is due to stabilization of the negative charge.

s orbitals are held closer to the nucleus than p orbitals. When there is more s character, the negative charge is closer to the nucleus, which is positively charged, and thus is stabilized more. Therefore Alkynes are more acidic than alkenes or alkanes.
