This has been argued- Get your mind out of the Gutter! Lindy was in enough scandals ( Bund membership, distorted politics, Kidnap murder scandal) why turn him into some sort of Avian James Bond? Update. DNA testing in 2003 demonstrated proof of his paternity of the three German children by Brigitte Hesshaimer. The two children of her sister, Marietta, aren't talking, nor are the son and daughter of his private secretary, Valeska. Marietta and Valeska are still living. He wrote a letter to each of his mistresses on his deathbed. Their existence and relationships have been documented extensively in articles, a TV documentary, and even his daughter Reeve's essay (2008) documenting her trip to meet them.

Rumors of more mistresses and children in Europe remain rumors only, as of 2011.
