Indaratpatra at Sulayman Ito'y salaysay ukol kay emperador Indarapatra ng Kahariang Mantapuli. Siya'y matalino, mabait at matapang. May sibat siyang matapos ihagis sa kaaway ay bumabalik sa kanya. Nang may nanalot na mga dambuhalang halimaw sa Mindanaw ay isa-isa niya itong napatay.
Humingi ng tulong si Emperador Indarapatra kay Prinsipe Sulayman na iligtas nito ang Kaharian sa apat na salot: si Kurita, hayop na maraming paa at isang kainan lamang niya ang limang Tao; si Tarabusaw, mukhang Tao na nangangain ng Tao; si Pha, ang ibong dahil sa kanyang laki'y nakapagpapadilim ng bundok at ang halimaw na si Kurayan, isa ring ibong may pitong ulo.
Tinanggap ni Sulayman ang tungkulin. Naglagay si Indarapatra ng halaman sa durungawan at kapag nalanta ito ang ibig sabihin ay nasawi ang prinsipe.
Isa-isang napatay ang mga halimaw, ngunit nang maligtas niya ang pakpak ng huling halimaw ay nadaganan siya nito at siya'y namatay.
Nalanta ang halaman at nabatid ni Indarapatra ang nangyari kay Prinsipe Sulayman. Pinuntahan niya ito at dumalangin nang taimtim sa Bathala. Nabuhay na muli ang bayani.
Isang magandang dalaga sa mga nailigtas ni Sulayman ang nakabihag ng kanyang puso.
