Yes and no. The Zorro character was invented by Johnston McCulley in 1919 for a magazine. The first story, The Curse of Capistrano, was published as five parts in the magazine and was so popular that McCulley eventually wrote over 60 others. They have been collected into books, but they are incredibly expensive! But I do know that the Curse of Capistrano has been turned into an eBook on Amazon, and it's only a little over a dollar. The formatting is sometimes weird (6's for o's, and at one point the type switches to italics for no reason and then back), but it's the original story and I do recommend it for any Zorro fan.
