If you mean Charlie Peaceful from the book Private Peaceful then no, Charlie definitely wasnt a coward. We know this because when he got strapped to the large wheel (Field Punishment No. 1) he smiled through it and didnt complain once, also, when Tommo (Charlie's younger brother) was getting beat up by Jimmy Parsons, he beat up Jimmy, got caned by Mr Munnings, and didnt whimper once, whilst Jimmy, the 'brave lad' of the school, was yelling "Ow, sir!" throughout the caning. He also stuck with Tommo when he was injured and couldn't move, resulting in his death. So no, Charlie is not a coward.
