What are some good books for teenage girls to read?

I am almost a teenager, and i LOVE to read. I'm a good reader so my parents always want me to read, complicated adult books. But there just so boring! Last year, i wouldn't read anything but harry Potter, this year i want to read different stuff. I just finished a couple that were GREAT here they are!

This is definitely my favorite series. It's about these 6 kids who are part bird, so they have wings. They have to save the world. The books have action, adventure, humor, and romance. It's probably one of the funniest series I have ever read. There's a seventh book coming out in 2011.

Artemis Fowl 1-7 by Eoin Colfer

Another one of my favorites. I like those books that girls and guys can read. Anyways, it's about a teen genius who tries to steal the fairies gold. One problem. The fairies are about 50 (I think it's 50, maybe 100) years ahead in technology. They are not the fairies from Fairy Tales, they carry machine guns.

I loved this series. You're probably like "Psh. I'm too old for Princess'" Well, this series is different. It's about Princess Emma, a princess who is the opposite of what a princess should be. In her kingdom, there's a green witch. The Green Witch is the strongest witch and also the nicest. Her aunt is the green witch. She's in the swamp near her kingdom and finds a frog who claims he's the prince. She kisses him and they turn into frogs. Anyways, I don't want to give it away... Anyways, it's awesome, but that's my opinion...So, you might think it's for little kids, but I love it!

Wings by E. D. Baker:

It's about a girl who is part fairy, but doesn't know it. It's filled with adventure. Same thing as above.

Scarlett by I forgot...

It's about Scarlett, a London girl whose been sassy and rude to everyone ever since her dad and mom got divorced. When her mom finally can't take it, she sends Scarlett to Ireland to live with her dad and his new "perfect" family. She meets a boy who teaches her some things about herself. I really loved this book, and I think you will too.

The Alice Series by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor:

This series is about Alice McKinley and her life, from 6th grade to (so far) her senior year. It tells all about a girls life, from embarrassments, to pride, to everything in between. One of the embarrassing moments is when she gets her period at the dentists office and she leaves blood there. Worse, she was wearing a white skirt, and she had to ride the bus home. One of the sad moments is when her childhood friend Mark dies in a car crash. It follows Alice, Pamela and Elizabeth (her two best friends) through their childhood up to when they're sixty. This series is amazing. It has everything that a girl can experience.
