Nothing much, because this name was originally a double mistake!

In Shakespeare's play "Cymbeline", he names the King's daughter "Imogen".

Firstly, the word was INNOGEN, with a double N, not M. Shakespeare copied it wrongly from his source.

Secondly, it was not the girl's actual name. It was just the Celtic word for "daughter".

So I suppose "Imogen" means "daughter".
