Other myths tell how giraffes got to their height, like the eastern African which tell that the giraffe (most likely the first giraffe) grew tall for eating too many magic herbs.

I can"t think of any. Draft animals such as horses and mules are far more common and accessible to the peasant audience, N'Yet. Babar is an animal fantasy about an Elephant and is similar to Bambi in the fact his mother is fatally shot by a hunter- but I cannot recall any Giraffes there- though they dwell in Africa!
