Throughout the series the main conflict in The Vladimir Tod series was that Vladimir had trouble deciding if he was either with or against Elysia. In book one (Eight Grade) he was with Elysia In book two (Ninth Grade) he was against Elysia In book three (Tenth Grade) he was pretty much against Vampire kind itself In book four (Eleventh Grade) he re initiated his love for Vampires but is against Elysia In book five (Twelfth Grade) he is mostly with Vampires but when betrayed by his father he realizes his power as the Pravus and is neither with nor against Vampires or Humans
