X-ray wanted Stanley to give him anything interesting as he was using Stanley to help him find valuable objects that he could take credit for, thus enhancing his reputation and authority among the other boys at the juvenile detention center. This behavior is a manifestation of X-ray's manipulative and selfish character.
golden tube
The first thing that Stanley finds is a fossil when digging his hole.
Is there anything instersting about mars
Stanley found a fossil, a lipstick tube, and finally, a suitcase with his name on it.
Stanley knew that the treasure had to be by the lipstik tue he found earlier that week, or month, so him and zero started to dig farther down, and made the hole wider and found the chest, and kate ( the white haired girl in the flashback momemts before this) stored her loot in stanley's great great grandfathers chest, therfore the chest having stanleys name on it.
Stanley thought the sneakers were a gift from God because he found them while digging his hole at Camp Green Lake, which he believed was a stroke of luck or divine intervention. The sneakers were in good condition and appeared to be abandoned, providing Stanley with a much-needed stroke of good fortune in the harsh environment of the camp.
He finds a gold tube, apparently from the lipstick of a female outlaw involved with his namesake a century earlier.
