Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) or Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) is a widely-used term describing flat panels that consist of a non-aluminium core bonded between twoaluminium sheets. Aluminium sheets can be coated with PVDF or Polyester paint. ACPs are frequently used for external cladding of buildings (building facades), for insulation and forsignage.

ACP is very rigid and strong despite its light weight. Aluminium can be painted in any kind of colour, and ACPs are produced in a wide range of metallic and non-metallic colours as well as patterns that imitate other materials, such as wood or marble.

Applications of ACPs are not limited to external building cladding, but can also be used in any form of cladding such as partitions, false ceilings etc. Aluminium Composite Panels are also widely used within the signage industry as an alternative to heavier, more expensive substrates.

The core is commonly low density Polyethylene or an insulating material no less than 10 cm thick when its use is refrigeration insulation.

What is the allowable limit of slenderness ratio in aluminum?

You have to know that the slenderness ratio only takes into account the shape of the column. So because of that, the slenderness ratio is the same for steel, aluminium, wood, etc. The formula KL/r where K is the equivalent length factor, L the length of the column and r the radius of gyration which is sqrt(I/A), should always stay under 200. If not, you must redesign...

How many aluminum beer cans are needed to make an airplane?

I found one statement that a 747-400 has 147,000 pounds of high-strength aluminum. It takes about 32 empty beer cans to make 1 pound. So 32 cans x 147,000 pounds = 4,704,000 cans. (4 million 704 thousand)That is 784,000 six packs or 196,000 cases. I drink about 6 beers a day. I think it would take me 2,148 years to go through enough cans to get the 147,000 pounds.

What is the difference between equipments and machines and tools?

Equipments are physical resources serving to equip a person or thing, while machines are any device that uses energy to perform some activity and tools are devices that aid in accomplishing a task.Tools can either be hand-held small appliances or can range from small workshop bench-mounted drills, lathes and presses up to huge industrial machine tools designed to make large pieces of raw materials - such as sheet metal, forged iron or aluminum castings - or other materials - into highly accurately machined components for manufacturing major engineered items such as vehicles, aircraft, ships, steel road and railway bridges, etc.Machines are devices that need a person's attention when operating.Equipment are devices that do not need this attention.Examples: a refrigerator is equipment, a steel cutter is machine, a stove is equipment, a computer or a fax are machines; we call it anyway, "fax machine". Your car is machine/you operate it; your house, though, is "equipped with A/C and fan" because you do not pay attention to them when operating. The water heater is equipment. The pressure washer is machine, the air-compressor is equipment.

Stainless steel, preferably copper-clad stainless steel, should last a lifetime if properly cared for. Aluminum is fine for those on a budget, as long as you remember that it is a soft metal and treat it accordingly. In addition, aluminum should not be used to cook alkaline foods.
