The correct title for an AutoCAD draftsman can vary based on the specific role and industry, but common titles include "CAD Technician," "CAD Designer," or "Drafting Technician." In some organizations, they may also be referred to as "Architectural Drafter" or "Mechanical Drafter," depending on their specialization. These titles reflect the professional's skills in creating detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD software.
AutoCAD Drawing Database
In AutoCAD, drawing files typically use the extension ".dwg." This format is the standard for storing two and three-dimensional design data and metadata. AutoCAD also supports other file formats, such as ".dxf" (Drawing Exchange Format), which is used for interoperability between different CAD software.
Whether AutoCAD is better than Revit depends on the specific needs of the user and the project. AutoCAD is primarily a 2D drafting tool, ideal for detailed drawings and schematics, while Revit is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) software that excels in managing complex building data and collaborative workflows. For architectural design and construction projects requiring 3D modeling and data management, Revit is often preferred. Conversely, for simpler drafting tasks, AutoCAD may be more effective.

hello sir, how are you
If searching for a job, an AutoCAD draftsman may be under several categories. One could try engineering as well as skilled labor.
In my opinion, and this is what we implemented in our company, an AutoCAD operator is a person who has a basic knowledge of how to operate the AutoCAD program. This person has done an entry level AutoCAD course and knows how to draw lines etc. in the CAD program. An AutoCAD draftsman is a person that also knows how to operate the AutoCAD program but is also proficient in composing technical drawings. (e.g. have a good understanding of scales, projections, sections, etc.) We based these different descriptions on pre AutoCAD times. Any person can draw lines or circles on paper with a pen, but you had to do technical drawing courses to become a draftsperson.
An AutoCAD is a computer program used by many technical disciplines to draw precise, concise, and comprehensive diagrams depicting construction and fabrication techniques and/or layout plans to scale. CAD stands for computer aided drafting or computer aided design and drafting.
The plural for for draftsman is draftsmen.
Are you sure the job isn't draughtsman? This would be a draftsman in the US, maybe with Autocad experience and usually within one field, such as electrical or mechanical.
