Just because a coin was struck at the Denver Mint does not make it more valuable. But some D mint coins are more valuable, it depends on the date, denomination and condition of the coin.
The US mint did not use mint marks on the 1965 half dollar coin.

....They haven't stopped being made. New Kennedy half dollars are minted every year. 2001 is the latest year intended for circulation, but you can buy 2011 Kennedy half dollars in mint sets and in bags on the mint's website.

That would be the "Mint Mark" signifying what mint it was made. In this case the P stands for Philadelphia.
Nowhere. No U.S. coins dated 1965, '66, or '67 have any mint marks.
