Just went looking for one myself- Found a brand called X-I-M and is says they have it at Sherwin Williams stores. They did have it at my local S/W- but only in gallons. Mu regular rep pointed me to something he has that is all purpose- and claimed it's good with porcelain- S/S's brand called "Bonding Primer." I'll find out tomorrow how well it works! Got to correct my poor typing and proofreading- Sherwin Williams brand called "bonding Primer"- sorry about that.
a primer is liquid you apply before painting , to help the paint stick to the surface that you are planning to paint.
Yes, using a primer before applying spray paint can help improve adhesion and durability of the paint on the surface.
No, you should not apply primer over paint. Primer is meant to be applied before painting to help the paint adhere better to the surface. Applying primer over paint may not provide the desired results and could affect the overall finish of the paint job.
A representative from a home improvement store like Home Depot, Lowe's or Ace Hardware can answer and help you with questions about paint primer and all uses for primer.
To paint with primer effectively, start by cleaning and sanding the surface. Apply the primer evenly with a brush or roller, following the manufacturer's instructions. Allow the primer to dry completely before painting over it. This will help the paint adhere better and provide a smooth finish.
To learn how to make primer paint, you can research online tutorials, take a class on painting techniques, or consult with a professional painter for guidance. Experimenting with different ingredients and ratios can help you develop your own primer paint recipe.
Sure. You can mix them. Why would you? It will not help prime the walls or wood. The primer coat needs to be applied separately to be effective.
Because it will avoid problems withold oil-based paint (you ABSOLUTELY need a primer over an oil-based paint before painting with water-based/acrylic pain)patches made of different material (patches of plaster for example) that would react differently from other parts of the wallbare surfaces (new walls) which won't give good adherencecolour changes (if painting over walls of different colours, the result will look different with the first layer(s) of paint. The primer can help)
You use a special primer paint like Zinsser that will adhere to glossy paint and allow you to cover it with any type of paint you wish. Ask at your hardware store. They might also recommend that you sand the glossy paint lightly first to help the primer adhere.

Yes, using primer before painting walls can help achieve the best results by providing a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to, improving coverage, and enhancing the durability of the paint job.
Paint? No. Primer? YES. Corrugated steel is galvanized so you will need an etching galvanized metal primer. Regular paint or primer will peel off in no time! The etching primer as you can guess by the name actually reacts with the steel for a better bond. The steel should be sandblasted beforehand, or al least pressure washed thoroughly. The paint will adhere to the primer. Go to any real paint store (not a big box store with a paint department), let them know what you want to do and they will be glad to help and answer any questions.
