No. If you think about it for a couple of seconds, would it make sense for the Mint to issue a coin that would contain about $75 worth of gold, and sell it for 1¢ ?
Your coin has either been plated for use in jewelry, or exposed to something like heat or a chemical that caused it to discolor. Unfortunately, it's only worth a penny.
There was never a gold half penny issued by the U.S. Mint.
If a penny has no mint mark, it typically means it was produced by the Philadelphia Mint. Mint marks indicate where a coin was minted, and coins from the Philadelphia Mint, the oldest U.S. Mint facility, do not have a mint mark.
No US Mint has ever struck a 25 cent gold coin.
If you mean is it gold? NO the US mint never made any gold 1 cent coins. it may be a very nice uncirculated penny that sort of looks like gold but it's not gold.
If the coin is a Lincoln cent dated 1964 it may look like gold or have been gold plated but the US Mint has never made a gold one cent coin.
Sorry! It's worth a penny. It's only gold plated which doesn't add any value to the coin.
NO Never!
$800 to $41,000 depending upon the condition of the coin.
No the US has never made a gold one cent coin.
Yes. The correct legal term would be "a half-cent piece".
I would guess not. It would be too easy too counterfiet.
None, no gold dimes have ever been made by the US Mint.
