If the note is on the bar, the sharp (or flat, or natural) goes before the note. If you are just writing the note out, the sharp goes after the note.
Hi, If a sharp or flat is applied directly to a note, it will be placed in front of the particular note. Hope that helps!
An "X" in front of a note in music notation means that the note should be played as a sharp or raised by a half step.
Putting a sharp symbol (#) in front of a note elevates it to the next highest half step.
What cancels an acciental in a Natural sign in front of a note. Example G Major (F#, F sharp). Any note in the line or space of the note F will be affected, but if there is a natural sign it will be restored to its original pitch.
Check the key signature or look for a sign in front of the note.
A flat. Because this note is between G and A, you can go up from G (make it a sharp) or down from A.
C sharp is equivalent to the note D flat.
