what i do is i write down that date on the top of the page and then i just write everything that happened that day that i thought was different from every other day and i keep writing until i have everything down and i repeat with every day starting with the date. that way in a few years you can look back and be reminded of everything that you may have forgotten. i also tend to do this right before i go to bed
