If you're referring to how it relates to modern decimal pounds, the answer is 1.2 decimal pence.

( A pound was once divided into 240 pennies, so a 3d "bit" would be 3/240 or 1/80 of a pound. Because modern pounds are divided into 100 decimal pennies, 1p = 1/100 of a pound. That means 3d = 100/80 of a decimal penny, or 1.2p )

If you're referring to the collector value of a 3d coin, please post a new question with its date.
