Of course, the value of a medal depends upon who happens upon it being for sale, who is in the auction room, and so on. It also depends on the condition, although the Ashanti Star is a fairly robust medal, and so not often found in a poor state.

The 2008 Medal Yearbook gives a value of about £220.

A VF-condition (it had minor cleaning residues, but otherwise GVF), was sold at auction (Spink & Son) in London on 24 July 2008 for £130 hammer price, £172.05 total price after commission and so on.

Ultimately, the medal is worth what you, as a collector, think it is worth to you. You might have a passion for the Ashanti story, so you may be prepared to pay more for a medal.
