In 1967 the cost of a first class stamp was 5 cents. It didn't go to 6 cents until January if 1968. A post card was 4 cents at that time.

First Class postage was 5 cents in 1966. There were still other stamps available for post cards and airmail. The price was dependent upon what you were mailing.
