It has a face value of one cent. It is not very rare and you can by a copy for the minimum stamp fee of about 20 cents.
Mint: 8¢. Unless it's a rare variety, its worth approximately 1¢ used, sadly.
There is a lot of variety in asking about a 'two cent stamp.' You will have to determine a lot more about it to determine value. Consult a postage stamp catalog, usually available at your local library for exact identification and catalog values. Most used US postage stamps are worth 15 or 20 cents, the minimum amount required to catalog and stock the stamps. Unused will always be worth at least their face value. Special cancellations and different values are likely to be worth more. If it is truly an old stamp, it could range in value to a couple of dollars. If it is a really rare variety, it could be worth much more!
The James Russell Lowell 3-cent stamp issued in 1940 is a common postage stamp and is not considered rare or valuable. Its value is usually minimal and depends on factors such as condition, centering, and demand from collectors.
The value of the stamp would be nominal (1 cent) as it is no longer in use. However, if it is a rare collectible item, its value could potentially increase based on demand from philatelists or stamp collectors. The subject matter of being able to write a book of democracy would not directly impact the stamp's value.
First of all you have to be sure it is 'rare.' There are hundreds of six cent stamps that have been issued, some well over 100 years old. They could be worth anything from 6 cents for postage if unused to hundreds of thousands of dollars. The first US 6 cent stamp #115 was issued in 1869 and the mint version can be purchased for $1,750. There is a 1909 #362 that is worth $18,000 if used on envelope.
Your stamp is not rare and is not worth anything. Most German stamps of this era are worth far more if they are used, and the cancellation will ultimately determine the value.
5 cents. Just kidding. They are not rare, about 50 to 60 cents mint condition UNCANCELLED. A cancelled Sam houston 5 cent about about 20 cents retail. yes, I was suprised too
Most of them are not rare , but in used condition are worth more than the smaller stamps -- around 1/2 cent to 1 cent wholesale.
You have a very rare specimen. Its probaby worth $100+
The most rare adalf hitler stamp is the Deutschesreich stamp with the #20 on it and is worth $10,000-$15,000.
Scott #596 is unwatermarked, and extremely rare. It pictured Ben Franklin and was a 1 cent stamp. It measures 19 x 22.5mm, perf 11x11 and is on soft paper. I have not been able to find a price, but imagine it would be worth many thousands of dollars.
