The United States mint produced JFK inaugural coins in the early 1960s. Those from 1961 are worth about ten dollars when they have been circulated and twice that if they are in mint condition.

Scott Number 1193 pictures the Mercury Capsule. This 4c stamp was issued in 1961. It has a minimal value used and can be purchased for 40 cents in mint condition.
You need to re-check the date on that note -- there were no Series of 1962 notes printed. Perhaps 1963? (The Treasury did not print bills with a series date of 1962 in any denomination.) Also, is it a demand note or a silver certificate or something else?
