Year sets of Mint Uncirculated Australian Coins in absolute mint condition and their original packaging, depending on the year, the method of packaging and presentation and where they were minted, could fetch anything from $12 to $120 AUD per set.
This is a good return on the pre-1987 sets which initially sold for a mere $1 to $5 AUD per set in their respective years of issue.
I suggest you find a reputable coin dealer in your area and take the collection off for a valuation.
In uncirculated condition it is worth around $2.50 USD. (2/28/2010)
These coins are still in circulation so, unless they are part of a proof set or are uncirculated and in absolute mint condition, they are worth 50 cents. The Australian 2001 issue of 50 cent coins was a "commemorative" issue for the "Centenary of Federation". There were 10 different designs issued. One each for the 6 states, 2 territories, Norfolk Island and another based on the traditional design. An Australian 2001 cupro-nickel 50 cent coin (QE II)(Centenary of Federation), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to $6 AUD. There were at least 2 million of each type minted. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.

25 cents unless it's uncirculated. In that case values as of 05/2010 range from about 50¢ for the lowest-quality uncirculated coin to about $400 for an absolute top-grade coin, with an average of around $3-5 for most. 1966 quarters are anything but rare. Nearly a billion quarters were minted in 1966 as the Mint churned out oceans of the then-new clad coins to replace 1964 and earlier silver coins. Even today they continue to show up in change, though less frequently than before. Note that US coins dated 1965, 1966, or 1967 don't have mint marks.
