An Identity Box is an actual box, often open at one end (a shadowbox) so that you can see the items inside. You place objects that represent yourself into the box. There are usually six categories: * Your culture or ethnic heritage * Your environment - the surroundings where you live (house, city, country, etc) * Your family and friends * Important experiences you have had * Your personality * Your values and beliefs Usually, your teacher will assign a specific type of item, like a poem or song or photograph. If you do not have an assignment sheet like the one in the Related Links, then ask your teacher for suggestions. An identity box should be something that will explain you to other people!
