The cent (no longer minted) normally has a maple leaf, the nickel has a beaver, the dime has a small sailing ship (the sloop Old Bluenose), the half has the Canadian coat of arms, the dollar has a loon, and the 2-dollar has a bear. The quarter sometimes has a moose, but recently the quarter has carried many different commemorative designs due to a program of design changes somewhat like the U.S. state quarters.
