Hi...The initials SP on your Avon jewelry are the designers initials. Avon hired many different designers, such as Kenneth J.Lane, Nina Ricci and Elizabeth Taylor. Avon jewelry designed by Nina Ricci is marked Avon NR and so forth. While I don't know who the designer SP is, it is most definitely the initials for the designer. Many people mistakenly think it stands for silver plate, but it doesn't. Hope that helps!
Actually the information above is not correct. The initials on some Avon pieces (ie. NR, BW, SP, etc.) ARE NOT designer initials in spite of the many attributions seen online.
This quote directly from Avon;
"The initials on some of our jewelry pieces are an internal company code for our jewelry in manufacturing. This identifies the vendor who has manufactured the jewelry for us. In some cases, the same piece of jewelry could be manufactured by two different vendors."
Thanks to Ronda Allman for getting this info from Avon.

Well, darling, "Sp cfj" stamped on jewelry typically stands for "Sterling Silver" and the maker's mark "cfj." So, in plain English, it means your bling is made of sterling silver and was crafted by someone with the initials "cfj." Now go rock that jewelry like the fabulous diva you are!
yes and she is rilly small
The stamp "RINC SP LIND" on jewelry typically indicates that the piece is made from sterling silver (SP) and is likely a product of a designer or brand named Rinc or Lind. Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper, to enhance durability. This stamp helps identify the quality and authenticity of the jewelry. Always consider consulting a jeweler for a more thorough assessment of any specific piece.
The "SP" on Avon jewelry typically stands for "Silver Plated." This designation indicates that the jewelry is not made from solid silver but rather has a thin layer of silver plating over a base metal. This allows for a more affordable option while still providing a silver-like appearance.
Gamecube SP? If you mean GameBoy SP, then obviously -_-.
My ring has the same thing engraved on it so I decided to call the store where I bought it from to get my question answered. What the store said is "the 10K represents the purity of the rings metal and the sp is the manufactures initials. Sometimes they put their initials on the jewelry."
special punter?
SP stands for "spelling error" when proofreading. It indicates that there is a mistake related to the spelling of a word that needs to be corrected.
The stamp SP should appear on most silver plated jewelry. Its designation may be hard to read without magnification tools.
