This is a U.S. Mint product. It was struck at West Point in 1984 and is the last one ounce piece of the American Arts Commemorative Series Medallions of gold bullion medallions produced by the United States from 1980 through 1984. Only 35,000 pieces were made. As to "What is it worth", it is one ounce of gold and it does have a collectible value. A ball-park retail value is $1,500.00 to $2,000.00.
