Fairies in folklore are generally told as being female, so no male fairy was said to exist.
What? Never heard of Oberon and Puck?
The physiological variability of fairies is intense. Tails, long noses, horns, fangs, really big ears, wings, hooves, claws, arched brows, pot bellies are not unheard of. But then perfectly attractive types are known too.
There are no separate words used for a female and a male fairy. Usually they are just referred to as male fairies.
