What is a shifarobe?

A term used by my grandparents to describe a piece of furniture standing about 5' tall with four drawers on on the left side underneath a door with glass which was used for storage. On the right side was a full height door where one might hang clothes. This door had a full length mirror. I suspect the term shifarobe was slang for shelf and robe but that is only a guess.
