Unless you know some one that wants it, the value is only for the silver.
Actually these are rather collectible. They have been going for between 40-60 dollars each bar on ebay (especially in proof condition or the more popular presidents). Profit can be made because on these because most sellers of silver consider them to only be worth their silver content. When I see them being sold for little over spot price of silver I by as many as I can and resell them on ebay. But you need a auction site like ebay or others to get them out there to enough viewers so the people who collect them will see them.
The 3 coin Bicentennial set is the only Proof set to be struck in silver (40%) dated 1976. Retail value is $20.00 Issue price was $15.00
The 5 coin proof set has a value of $6, the 10 coin set has a value of $15 and the 10 coin silver set has a value of $48.
Face value- 25 cents. Those are not silver unless it is specially struck proof set coin. Look at the edge, you should see copper on an ordinary quarter.
The 3 coin Bicentennial Proof set has a current retail value of $30.00 Issue price was $15.00
The actual value would be based on the worth of each coin in the set.
Unfortunately 5 different U.S. Mint issued sets have the bicentennial dual date 1776-1976. They were struck as Proof & Uncirculated in copper-nickel and 40% silver. A 3-piece set is 40% silver with a value of about $25.00. The rest are $6.00.
Most of the time the silver quarter is part of a set and is rarely seen alone. It isn't really a rare coin and would sell for about $2 for silver scrap. Keep in mind though that most quarters dated 1976 are NOT silver and the only silver quarters made in 1976 are 40% silver and all have an "S" mintmark. However, the San Fransisco mint made copper-nickel quarters with an "S" mintmark also, so having an "S" mintmark does not mean the coin is silver, but a coin without an "S" mintmark is for sure not a silver 1976 quarter.
Face value 15 and silver value is around $45
The coin is still in circulation, contains no silver and is only face value.
$1.75 for the set.
