The only reference I have on a "New Empire" gun lists it as a .410 or 20 gauge shotgun with a 12 1/2" barrel. If this is so that makes this gun somewhat of an outlaw unless it is regestered with the ATF. I do not believe you can legally own a firearm of this nature without a federal license. That said, the firearm does have some collector interest. These "Auto and Burglar" type guns are quite rare and I'm sure a good condition one would command over well $1000 bucks with the value dropping as the condition drops. If it is not this firearm then it would, unless it is of musuem quality, be worth, even in good condition, no more than $200 to $300 on the used gun market. If it is an "Auto & Burglar" and you do not have a federal license (and I suspect you do not or you would not be asking this question) the legal issues involved if you were to sell it could be quite scarry. There are federally licensed dealers (not your local gun shop) who could assist you in this regard.
What is the Value of my Crescent Fireams, 12 Gauge, Double Barrel, Curly Hammers......no serial number that I can find
Yes in 1860 Stevens made a double barrel, all steel barrel and its has external hammers.
What are the markings on the gun? sales@countrygunsmith.net
Are the hammers on the back of the lock or on the sides? The first is probably a shooter worth $100 - $200 depending on condition. The second is a wall decoration with about the same value.
The T C Montgomery double barrel shotgun with double barrel hammers is valued at $75 in fait condition. In good condition its valued at $160.
