Other than British gold coins such as the Half-Sovereign, Sovereign, etc., Australia has never produced "Australian" gold coins for general circulation in Australia. The Sovereign coinage minted for Britain were minted to the British pattern from gold mined in Australia and were minted at either of the Melbourne, Perth or Sydney Mints (Mintmarks M, P or S respectively).

I do not know what you mean by "mounted". If the coin is mounted in a piece of jewellery or otherwise altered, it has no collector value, only the bullion value of the gold. Modified coins have no collector value. If the coin is mounted in a presentation box or some other protective packaging - A British 1918 gold Half-Sovereign (George V)(minted in Perth - mintmark = P), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to £2,650 GBP. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch up to £225 to £1,500 GBP. The values quoted are the best possible for the best specimens in their grades, but may be significantly lower due to varying demand for the coin and the prevailing economic climate. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
