Sounds like the Silver Wedding stamps for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, later the Queen Mother.

They were printed in large numbers, so they would not be a sought-after issue.

I think there was a fleet of them, so the higher denominations would fetch more, certainly in mint condition. The full set might be of interest to collectors.

I would guess there were special issues for the Commonwealth countries. Maybe the Jamaican or Tanganiyikan set would be a novelty.

What is a jumbo stamp?

A jumbo stamp is a legitimate stamp that is perhaps 10 times bigger than a regular stamp, but it is not a minisheet. It will probably have a denomination way above the current standard postage rate. It appears to be a relatively recent innovation and is usually used to commemorate some event.

Why Postage stamp does not match mailing date?

A postage stamp isn't 'dated.' If it has dates on it, they typically reflect something to do with the history of the what is pictured on the stamp. And stamps can be used at any time.
