What is the value of Enfield rifle No.5-Mark 1 in excellent condition? Please do not write in this area, or the computer sends your question to the "already answered" bin. Caught it by accident. A Mk 4 in excellent condition, or a mk 5 (Jungle Carbine) would be about $250. Many of the so caled Mk 5s are converted Mark 4s. When buying one, either know the gun, or know the dealer.

There have been several rifles made as military rifles in caliber .303 British (.303 Enfield) The most common have been the SMLR (Short, Magazine, Lee-Enfield) known as the No 1 Mk III, and it successor, the No4 Mk I. Can't tell you much from a serial number alone. ENGLAND is an import requirement, telling you which country it was made it.
If your rifle is a No 2A Mk III Ishapore, it is not converted, but made in caliber 7.62 NATO. Magazines are available from gunpartscorp under their part number 376330 for about $52 plus shipping.
Value of NAY firearm is based on exact make, model, and condition. If your Enfield is in the original military configuration (not sporterized) and in good condition, value could range from about $250-$400.
