There are so many models and styles of Wonderods that you ca't just throw a price on them. If it's your favorite rod you won't let it go. I have two that I really enjoy using. I happen to like a 6'6" Wonderod spinning rod with a penn 4400ss spinning reel spooled w/12lb mono. I use it for trolling 4" rapala magnums and casting 007 diamond jigs to big blues and teen sized stripers. The one with the blank 1/8" at the tip is the one I like. Good for bonita too! It's a real blast and the rod is extremely forgiving as the balanced bend keeps the pressure on the fish very consistently. I also use a 7' spinning Wonderod that sports a heavier blank near the grip for bigger fish, but the tip is a little lighter than the 6 1/2 footer. This rod is also very forgiving, but a tad light at the top rendering a very soft mushy feel on the fish. You'll never lose the fish, but you get no frenzied feel as it absorbs every vibration. It's got plenty of backbone for lift and for when a muscle job is required. The little one is more fun and feels like you're one with the fish. The 7' is paired with a Penn 5500ss with silverthread mono, I guess 17 or 20lb line. They are good rods. I have Fenwicks and Sabre rods too, but I still use the little Wonderod when I have the luxury of playing the fish to the hilt in my own boat. Don't knock the old school rods. Some are really great!
