in circulated condition, it's only worth it's bullion value for 0.6 of an ounce of silver -- currently about $8
how much does canadian nickel 1751-1951 is worth
I assume you have a Canadian dollar, because the USA did not issue any dollar coins in 1958. Your coin is worth about $5, mostly due to its silver content. Well if the coin is circulated about $12, I have seen uncirculated MS66's go for $100 USD. But I would keep it as a keepsake. The Totem pole on the reverse of this coin, upset the native Americans. The symbol on the totem included a sign meaning "Death to the Tribe." This particular Canadian coin, has since been known as "The Death Dollar." _______________________________________________ I assume the above answer was prior to Silver going up. The silver content alone is now around $20.00
Yes. It is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper.
No one, because there were no silver dollars minted that year.
$1.00 in 1951 had the same buying power as $9.46 in 2016.
There's no such coin. The Morgan name applies to silver dollars dated 1878-1904 and 1921 that were designed by G. T. Morgan. If you have a 1951 half dollar with a picture of Benjamin Franklin on it, it's worth about $6 to $7 for its silver content.
$0.50 in bad of average circulated condition, $8.00 in good circulated condition, and $36 in uncirculated condition.
All Franklin half dollars are 90% silver with 10% copper.
Franklin half dollars are so common that if the coin shows any wear at all it's valued for the silver only, about $7.00
This half dollar is worth between seven and three-hundred dollars, depending on the condition.
Not a rare date. No added value in circulated condition.
Please look at the coin again, it's a half dollar not a dollar and value is likely about $5.00 just for the silver.
