The notes are printed using advanced security features to prevent counterfeiting.
In 2012, the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing produced 8.4 billion notes. Approximately 35 million notes are printed every day at a cost of 8.7 cents per bill. Over 90% of the notes printed were to replace worn-out bills.
If you mean size, all notes printed before series 1928 were large sized. If you mean larger denomination, there were $500, 1000, 5000, 10,000, and 100,000 notes printed. Notes having a denomination of larger than $100 has not been printed since 1945.

Old notes are received over the counter by the clearing banks and returned to the Bank of England to be shredded and burned.
The us hasn't printed a silver certificate 2 dollar bill since 1899 all twos printed after that were either US notes or federal reserve notes.

Notes printed from 1966-1972 will have "COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA" printed at the top, front and back. Notes printed from 1974-1991 will have only "AUSTRALIA" printed at the top, front and back.
