The number of different U.S. quarters minted each year can vary. Traditionally, there are two main designs: the standard Washington quarter and, since 1999, various commemorative quarters as part of the 50 State Quarters Program, followed by the America the Beautiful Quarters Program. In years with special releases, such as 2021, multiple designs can be produced, leading to several different quarters minted within that year. Overall, it's not uncommon for there to be anywhere from 2 to 5 different quarter designs minted annually.
States do not mint any coins. So no date is possible. The Alabama state quarters were made in 2003 but were not minted in Alabama.
