There are a couple of things you can try if your parking brake will not hold. First, try applying and releasing the parking brake several times over. This should allow the self-adjusters to re-tension the back brakes. You may have to do this a dozen times or more. If that doesn't work, try slowly driving your car backwards several feet and then suddenly and quickly step on the brake pedal. If the parking brake still fails to hold, you may have to have the back brakes manually adjusted by a mechanic.Ê
On a 1998 Chevy Blazer, the parking brake switch is located on the top of the parking brake assembly. There are 3 bolts that hold the switch to the parking brake assembly.

To release the parking brake, hold the regular brake pedal down with your right foot. Push down momentarily on the parking brake pedal with your left foot until you feel the pedal release. If the parking brake is not released when you began drive, the brake system warning light comes on and s chime sounds as a warning that the parking brake is still on.Manual Book page 2-28

First you have to remove the main beam.There are a couple of clips that you pull up that hold these in. Once those are out of the way there are a couple of tabs on the parking light that you squeeze together to remove the parking light. I've included a video that will show you how all of this is done.
There is no parking brake. You hold the tractor in place by putting it in park like a car with auto trans.
