Jacksonville University is located on a picturesque 190 acre campus along the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida. The school has about 3500 students who attend classes on campus. Seven different Bachelor degrees are offered and there are more than 70 majors. Started in 1934 as a junior college, it expanded to a fully accredited four year college. Today it is a top rated institution of higher learning and an active participant in the Jacksonville area.

Students come from 45 different states and 50 countries. About 1600 students live on-campus in residence halls and apartments. The College of Arts & Sciences includes the traditional liberal arts programs as well as programs in education and nursing.

The School of Nursing also offers an online program where established RN’s can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN). Online courses are state of the art with video, audio and lectures on CD’s. There are, of course study guides and traditional textbooks available if that better suits your needs. The same professors that teach on campus participate in the online program. It takes 121 credits to earn your BSN, but you are given 30 credits for your RN license. You can also transfer credits from other schools you may have attended.
