Kyo never really killed her. Thought Kyo's dad blames him for pressuring her. He was always blamed, because his the cat and needs to wear his beads so his doesn't transform into the true cat spirit. His mother suicide, from all the pressure of the cat spirit. You see mothers of a child cursed by a zodiac animal, are ether over protective of their child or will reject it completely. Kyo's mother seemed like she was over protective but never really loved him. Someone like Momiji's mother rejected him, so much she got her memory wiped of him ever being born. Kyo isn't really a zodiac but his still cursed so it sorta the same.

Remember in the middle of the manga, it shows Kyo and a little boy, and it Natsuki Takaya wrote a little paragraph about Kyo and at the bottom it says "I have a feeling Kyo will make a Kind father" Well, then there was another page, and the next page showed Tohru. Well it was their whole family.
