There are 14 volumes in Japanese and TokyoPop has licensed 12 of those volumes in English. It's still an ongoing manga. It went on hiatus from August 2005 to April 2008.
The producer, editor, and scriptwriter got together and wrote up the story. I doubt that the manga author had a hand in it, but, anyway, either Argentine was deemed an "insignificant character" and was, therefore, tossed out, OR the anime was made before the manga, which, by the way, is on hiatus in Japan, reached the part involving Argentine.

if talking about when the series come out .they already did.dnangel is out and has26 episodes.i recomded you to read the manga first even tough its not completed.butfor the anime most things they miss and some things are not true in the manga and you know that the manga is always the true one so you dont have you read the manga you can first see the anime and then read the manga or just watch the anime and never to reasd the manga
