You cannot really tell if Superman is an atheist or has any sort of faith in a certain religion because he does not tell or show any signs of belief.

A:I'm trying to remember portrayals of religion. In many senses, Superman himself embodies many of the powers of a God... yet he chose to portray himself as a "Mild Mannered Reporter" instead.

I don't remember seeing him giving reverence to an "earth god".

However, perhaps the Crystal Palace (Fortress of Solitude) would be the spiritual roots of Superman.

That is also very true but I think that all of that would be irrelevant to the character's religion more to the author's.
