No vampire bats carry many more diseases
RABIES
In South America you have the caves of calcium carbonate having stalactites and stalagmites. Millions of vampire bats inhabits the caves. They have very sharp teeth like hypodermic needles. When they bite the victim, sleep of the victim may not be disturbed. They have one deadly disease, as endemic disease in them, called as 'Rabies'.
Many, but the most important one is Rabies as it is fatal and has no cure.
The vampire bats predators are eagles and hawks. they are also killed by Farmers as they carry rabies and other diseases that can harm both humans and cattle. They are not endangered.
maybe if this bat has rabies or a disease and some reason bites you. but that most likely will not happen because bats [yes, even vampire bats] don't bite people unless it is absolutely starving and/or has a disease like rabies
Bats don't carry HIV; but they do carry rabies.
Since they can carry rabies it wouldn't be at the top of my menu, but if I was starving to death, and that was all I had available to eat, I would be willing to risk exposure to a life threatening disease to save my life. If I lived through the crisis, there would be plenty of time to worry about the rabies later.
Vampire bats are notorious for having Rabies.
Rabies is an endemic disease of vampire bats. They live in millions in caves of south America continent. Infected bats transmit the disease to host, who may not get his sleep disturbed, by the bite of the bats. They have very sharp hypodermic needle like teeth.
Rabies is a virus and a freshly dead body would still be infectious but not one dead for more than a couple of days. If the bodily fluids are still viscous then please stay away from the corpse of a bat. When dealing with rabies be very careful, the disease is fatal in all advanced cases, there is no cure.
Bats can carry rabies, very few bats actually are carriers and again very few incidences of rabies in humans because of bats.
no bats are very useful animals they are harmless unless they carry rabies but bats are not big enought to carry rabies so they die when the get rabies. the wort thing they could carry would be fleas but that is also rare
