From it's first appearance in 1936 until his death in 1969, the Author of Oor Wullie and The Broons was Dudley D Watkins. There have been several writers since: Tom Lavery, Peter Davidson, Ken H. Harrison, Tom Morton and Dave Donaldson. the current author is Morris Heggie.
